Just wanted your opinions... I'm painting up the Celica for the new Rally Season and this is the scheme I'm going for... Toyota Factory, but NOT like eveyone else...

i like the simple look of our cars with some nice wheels.... but since you're using it for rally purposes, this design wouldn't be all that bad. i say give it a shot.

For a race car, that scheme looks alright. (For street/daily, I agree with the others: a simple, one color coat looks best. )

Hey, i've never seen an alltrac that color. But, i did have a gt-s that color.

The hood scoop looks cool too.

The RC Car is an HPI Rally Car.

I put on the WsRC (World Scale Rally Championships) for a couple of years and the HPI cars seemed to be the most reliable and robust. I have 5 of them. :D

In all, I've got some 23 RC Cars ranging from 24th scale to 5th Scale... It's a disease!

I not only competed on the Racing side, but I was also a Concourse Painting Champion for several years.

Thanks... i am dieing for the hpi super nitro rally car... but there are no
toyota celica bodies that fit the larger 1/10th scale dimensions of those cars.. at least none that i know of.

and by the way.... you should totally due the custom job on you car.........
....and white rims :)

I have two SNR cars. One has a destryoed diff because I installed a MUCH bigger motor in it for a "hill climb" up the side of a huge dirt mountain!!! Too much fun, but with a toasted center diff... that car is out of commission. But it DID make it to the top :)

They are both painted very similar to the black and white car I posted earlier... but without all the fancy stuff and the PUMA stickers and such. Both are Lancer bodies too.

You should get one :)

Seriously, thanks largely to you Eric, I dug out a couple (three actually) of my RC Cars and went out and played with them yesterday... Forgot how much fun they were. It's literally been a few years since I even touched them. My Pro3 Road Car I put away right after I won the Stock Class US Challenge race. Hadn't seen the light of day since! I'm surprised it ran. LOL!

Anyway, thanks for rekindling that hobby.

By the way... the car went into the Paint Booth this afternoon for beginning prep... When I left, all I had done was strip the old pin stripping and marked out the color changes. White will go on first, then Blak, then they Vinyl Ziggy Stripes. Logos and Sponsors after that...

Like it or not, it's BEGUN!!!!

I should have some post-booth pics in a day or two.
