Thought I'd start a new thread since the POLL thread has lasted so long... Time for it do die. :)

Although this is really only a step toward the goal... THIS is how the car looks now on it's way to it's final transformation.

17s... Yes.

How much? They came on another car I bought 2 years ago so I guess they were either "free" or part of the package. I paid $1500 total for the car they came on. I think the retail on these rims are less than $200 each.

The Tires are 215/35 17 and the rear are 235/30 17 so the car has the rear wheel drive stance too.

Had to make a "small adjustment" to make them fit though... fine tuning with a 5 lb sledge hammer to the spring perch.

Anyway, they fit great and only rub when I take a big load at some speed.

looks decent as far as the body goes... i prolly woulda done the hood and roof differently... but overall looks good for a race car

Do i see a Ferrari in the background?

I need the big white space on the hood and roof for my Primary Sponsor, that's largely why there isn't more coverage there, but a good observation.

Yes but no... Ferrari Replica. I build them as a hobby. That one is just about finished, going unpainted to a customer in Texas. I have another in the Paint Shop now that is getting the full turn-key treatment and should be delivered in May. A thrid, MINE, is sitting is various states of uncompletedness on the rigt side of the Garage on the RV pad in that big tent/carport thing.

Yet another of my car fetishes.

The rims... There seems to be some differing opinions on the rims. That's pretty funny!

Considering they are just the on-road rims I use to save the Rally Tires from getting chewed up... they won't hardly be seen on the car except going to and coming from Rallies or when showing the car. :D

The Rally Tires are on stock 14 inch rims that are currently getting painted white as well. So that's keep the feel.

Anyway, That's the paint. It's done now except for a few more sponsor decals.

normally i don't say this but... i think it would look better with more decals. The white areas just feel like they need more to me.. who knows.
in anycase cool stuff.

LOL!!!

That large white space on the hood is reserved for a very larg sponsor ;)

I have 5 currently and they are basically ALL still getting their graphics to me.

More pics when they are on there :)
