New regulations for paint in Ontario, what are you using?

So I drop into Cross Canada today and they tell me that all lacquer finish paint is no longer available due to new environmental regulations.
You have to buy the matte finish & then a clear coat. Well over twice the cost that it was also...

I don't want a clear coat finish because I like to use high cutting cleaner if there is ever a need for it.
Does anyone have any ideas, suggestions?

i heard about this 2.. your only aloud to use water based paint no more laquer

for good reason. the VOCs in the lacquer paint are intense. Just paint and clear, clear more if you use a harsh cleaner.
