oil filter relocation

Ok 2,000 miles on the swap is coming up soon , in about 500 miles, and the way my turbo i clocked it is hard to remove the filter. When i say hard i mean impossible without removing the turbo. SO i want to do the relocation mod. I've seen a couple kits for it marked as universal , but what kind of modification is needed to get them to fit. Is there any kit designed for the celicas? where's a good place to mount the new oil filter?

I don't mean to go off subject, but do you have a pic of your setup? I'm curious how you clocked your turbo so i "won't make the same setup"...(i really don't want to relocate my turbo if it ever comes time to clocking)...thanks!

I don't know of any oil filter relocation kit either, sorry i can't help you!

lol you would be hard pressed to make the same setup if you like A/C .

i guess it would be considered clocked and flipped .

Haha, ahh okay, yeah flipped also! I saw that earlier today from another post about "clocking turbo suggestions" or something. Someone mentioned the ABS unit being in the way too...did that happen for you or just the AC compressor?

Again, sorry for the off subject!

Thanks!

Damn man, didn't you notice when you were istalling the man?

As for kits, you should be able to get one from almost any big performance place. NOPI, Summit, ect. I got one from Summit a couple of years ago. Never used it tho.

It's a 91 Celica GT automatic so no ABS. I took out the A/C ,and no power steering. I was eventually going to go with a relocation kit but wanted to wait till i needed to get the oil changed since i don't drive the car maybe 30 miles a week.

an auto? :( bummer...

but yeah, tons of places sell oil relocation kits.

good luck.

if i could figure out what is wrong with my first gear it would be faster than a 5speed swap. :smokes:

Yeah, my 91 is a auto. Only reason I don't have a 3S in it right now is because the 5S ecu controls the trans too (It has ECT) :x
