Intercooling piping...

What are peoples thoughts when it comes to this piping size?

My power aims is atleast 200awkw by the time im finsihed, with room to expand if i so wish. I know the stock topmount is capable of holding this power, but i would much rather a FMIC solution, or a WTA intercooler if i can find one.

go fmic. and check out this thread... water is almost as expensive and hard to find.

Thanks for the link, but that didn't help me on pipe sizing. Also i won't be buying the kit, as i live in Australia, by the time i got it here, it would be hell of alot cheaper to get it done locally.

The pipe size you need would depend on whether you were going to upgrade your turbo or what psi you would be running. I think the most common choices would be either 2.25" or 2.5". If you run too big you are just going to see a lot of lag. I think I would go the 2.5".

i'm using 2.25" here is a pic on how it ran in my st191, not a celica but a corona/carinaE..hth

facapino: thats a decent setup you got there.

I think 2.25" is a good compromise on all counts. Thanks guys.

Now to decide on a turbo.
