JDM Motor Swap

Okay. Beginning August 13th, I will be swapping my 140k USDM motor for a 34k JDM motor from a 1993 GT-Four. I don't suspect that this will be difficult, or at least any more difficult than any other swap. In any case, I will be taking pictures of every step along the way, especially the difficult ones. I will then be doing a write-up of the entire swap, and selling my entire old engine, with the exception of the turbo, which will be sold off my new engine instead (Ceramics Power Turbo).
So what I would like to know is are there any parts or any steps that you would like me to take detailed pictures of?

Might I ask as to where you purchased this motor from?

Thank you.

If you're swapping a jdm 185 into a US 185, it shouldn't be that difficult. It should all bolt it....'Cept for the wiring harness :?

i purchased the motor from Wais Ilyasi at japandomesticmotor.com. Through negotiation, I obtained the motor for $1400 shipped with 34k miles on it, and he has guaranteed the compression results that he took with a 0% restocking fee. his results show the lowest comp cylinder at 159 PSI. Not to mention, he sent me 8 hi-rez photos within two hours of my request, and even took them of what i had requested. I would do it again if i had the chance.

Hey Superwhite;

I might be looking for a motor too, curious about the product that you got. What parts were included with that? How does the thing look? Did you get proof of mileage? Lastly, where are you located. How long did it take to get to you?

Thanks man.

I got my motor from toysport...last jdm 165 they will ever sell i'm told.
the 185 harmess should work fine on the jdm motor you'll just need to swap computers and poof done. may need to use some usdm sensors but that's it
