eBay turbo vs Name brand turbo

I posted this last night but made no sense so I am reposting it.

Main question is... are turbos just turbos? eBay turbos run 250-450 for a t3/t4. Garrett, Turbonetics, ITS, etc.. are more than 600 for the same specs.

Whats the main difference besides brand? I mean they are all standard turbos, if they were ball bearing, then maybe name brand is the way to go but these are regular turbos. What do you guys think?

SUp Kevin. Im wondering the same thing. I found out one thing about those sschrome/xs power turbos though. I saw one pic on ebay and I the turbonetics logo and part # stamped on the turbine housing. So at least that part of the turbo is OK. Not sure about the internals though.

Well I think the housings are all based on t3 or t4 standards or what not. Is there a difference in quality in the cartridge itself or is it like any other name brand turbo?
