3SGE intake manifold on a 3SGTE??

So basically I should just grab everything when I get the manifold.

That's all there is to it? Just the CSI and IACV need to be modified?

dudeman i've used the stock 165 throttle body. the only thing you need 165 wise is the manifold and a steady hand. you have to cut a notch in the bottom of the throttle body inlet for the IAC.

just block off the CSI. it's not needed. easy enough there.
NOTE: my manifold has been smoothed out. it looks very different from the stock one.

So theres two similar types at the wrecker near me, one from a 3sge in an '88 just lying on the ground (someone took the head). And on the other side of the yard one from a 3sfe ('86 i think) was also lying on the ground. The 3sge was badged TVIS on top. I think i might have to go back and grab it. Price board says 4cyl intake manis are $19. :)

^ i did, but if i upgrade the engine next year or after, then i wouldn't mind getting this side throttle intake. I mean i can just pick it up off the ground and walk away.

If you use the 2nd gen 3S-GTE throttle body you will need to block the idle adjustment area off on the throttle body as it will overlap over where it mates with the intake manifold flange.

i think you're referring to the gen 3 3sge intake manifold to the gen 3 3sgte intake manifold correct? If so, yes they share the same bolt pattern, although I wouldn't know if there would be clearance issues. I believe the 3rd gen and 4th gen all share the same bolt patterns intake and exhaust side. Thats why you see some 3rd gen 3sgtes with 4th gen caldina intake manifolds.

NO, I'm talking about the throttle body to intake manifold flange.
