sorry may be dumb question but i hear light soft taps/pings from the engine when I turn off the engine after a long/hard run. is that detonation, normal? seems like I hear this from lotta cars though...

thats just the metal of the engine shrinking back to its normal state (will expand when hot)

This is normal
