3rd gen swap st165 mods

I was wondering if someone could tell me all the details about upgrades to do so when I get my 3rd gen swapped into my st165 shell I will know what steps to take to achieve 300 hp. What are the first steps in modifications should I go with? I've been trying to look for stuff online and even on here, but can't seem to find exactly what I'm looking for. I would appreciate detailed step by step instructions. For example: first mod, second mod... When I'm doing the swap do I also need to replace other parts such as the fuel pump?

There are so many different routes to achieve various HP numbers. And they have all be done here. Look through the project threads and get ideas from there or use the advanced search option here for specifics like intercooler pumps, heat exchangers, front mounts, turbo's, etc. You need to be more specific on the power goals and use, plus you cant expect someone to lay out a road map to power when all the information is already on the forum :)

Also, let me be the first to say take care of all maintenance first. Suspension by now is going to be garbage, as well as every bushing on it. Take care of those things first so the car can actually handle new power :)

Welcome aboard.

Thanks! I'll make sure to get the suspension done. I'm still trying to learn how to navigate this site so I'll start looking around.

Make sure to handle all the maintenance on the new motor first before looking for more power.. i would change the oil pump, water pump, and all seals first along with all new fluids.. 3rd gen motors are around 220ish already stock so your hp goals are way out of reach..

I'd start off with a full 3" exhaust and a boost gauge and controller.. Up the boost a little bit and see where you're at first and go from there..

but like UtahSleeper says, check out some of the other builds in the project threads to get some ideas of what others have done to learn from other's experiences..
