17x9" Sportmax 050 wheels ....

Suspension and other discussion

Postby CMS-GT4 » Sat Jul 08, 2006 4:38 pm

Welcome to the club. I think these wheels look very simular to the Gram Light 57pro. Except they cost for a set of 4 less than the price of one Volk.

They offer bronze, silver and chrome. Think so far the alltrac guys have only ordered silver. I am not sure how bronze their bronze is. I plan on getting mine painted to match my old adr fuels maybe soon.

Well, I am screwed. Please see below.

My email to him

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am curious if you can get a new set of (4) Sport Max 050 wheels in size 17x9, with a bolt pattern of 5x100, and an offet of 38? Can you get them in a finish besides silver?

If you can get the Sport Max 050, what is your pricing per wheel? Wheelmax.com sells them for $79 each, but is currently out of stock. Can you come close to that price? People from alltrac.net highly recommend your company for these wheels. We run them with 20mm-25mm spacers in the rear and no spacer in the front with no issues.

Thanks much in advance for your help!!!

His reply:

Sorry, those are discontinued. Can't get those anymore. They won't be able to get them any longer. Anyway nice all trac. Regards

What now guys? I though I had the solution to my kick ass wheels on low budget problem. Now I am doomed to buy another set of Volks.:(

Have you not see the nice set of wheels offered by rocketeer? 17x9 30et. Still cheaper than volks.

The paint job was horrible. My red was as good as your till the repaint. Biggest mistake I made with the car. I am going to get the whole thing repainted in the near future.

Looks good, although I would have put a bit more tire on. What tire size?

255/40/17. If I went with an even wider tire I would have had to pull the fender plastic.

Here is a few daytime pics. The bumper and lenses will not be fully secured till I make my intercooler radiator bracket.

Here is a shot of the whole car. The front needs to be lowered just a little.
