haha true. But I have a advanceauto and autozone literally like 1min away driving from my house. Basically I want to know if anyone know if they sell/stock them there. Im too lazy to just go in there to ask. The nearest toyota here is about 1 hr away. I would think Toyota would charge me a lil more anyway. Toyota=quality=$$$=not needed for parking brake shoes. hehe

They are toyota only parts. Napa, Checkers, Autozone, Adavanced, all cannot get them. They are also $25-30 EACH PAD. Yeah, it's expensive...but I needed it so I could park my car on the driveway and let the turbo timer do its thing.

I have the part numbers on a piece of paper at work. I'll post them up tomorrow morning so you can see if anyone online has them. If I were you, I would also replace all of the hardware. My springs were so loose!

As promised....

1 - 46550-33010
1 - 46590-33010
2 - 46540-33010

List is $20.71-20.81 each...

As I said, you may want to do the pins/springs/retaiers at the same time, but that's up to you. Als, the rear most pin is shaped like a U, and make sure this pin is pointed the correct way when you put the parts back in. Otherwise, the pin will get pushed out of the pad, and will cause all sorts of problems for you. (Ask me how I know... ;) )

Don't have a part number, but I know that someone was looking for an "upgrade" (something about pulling the e-brake while driving or some such thing...). Anyway, porterfield can "make" some for you in a variety of compounds. They've been good to work with and very helpful. Oh yeah, and it's good stuff.

Holy thread revival batman!

So the above part numbers are the only parts needed to replace the brake shoes for a 185?

(Quantity: Two) 46540-33010

(Quantity: One) 46590-33010

(Quantity: One) 46550-33010

Well, much to many peoples disbelief as to my e-brake problem. After inspecting the rear e-brake shoes. They were completely worn down to the metal in most areas. Maybe less than a mm on some parts.

Napa doesn't have any OEM replacements, going to try the other local shops, then order from Toyota/1sttoyotaparts.

Cheers,

Well I got some from Napa but they weren't the right size...the ones on advance auto parts website look to be the correct ones and are only $10 or so...might give that a shot before buying $90 worth of toyota shoes...

Advanced Auto?

I called Pep boys, Advance Auto, Napa, and VIP Auto and none of them had e-brake shoes for either the GT/GT-S or the Alltrac.

(I was told by a toyota tech the e-brake shoes are all the same.)

There is still about a milimiter of material left on mine so I might just leave them for now...
