ST165 rear struts

I find it hard to believe that no one but Toyota makes complete rear struts for these cars. Actually I'm not sure they even do anymore. I went on the parts computer today and looked( I'm a Toyota technician) and they ain't ANYWHERE. I can get fronts fairly easily...I'm just afraid of F'ng up my rears by cutting them. Is there any lead(foreign or domestic) that could produce a drop in rear strut for these cars? I will keep checking at work but i think that well has gone dry :x Thanks.

Toyota contracted those parts out to KYB and Tokico. So Toyota didn't really make them. They just bought units made to their specification from other companies and stamped a Toyota part number on the side. The same thing can be said about TRD. If you want to replace the rear sealed units you need to order them from KYB, which is the manufacturer Toyota used in 1988-89. Tokico was their go to for the for all Celicas in 1986-87 including the JDM ST165s.
