Speaking of this thread, we need another wave of emails to get t3 moving again I think.

Looks like t3 is cutting their losses with the 5th gen chassis. I know they stil have 20 of these in stock, but it looks like they won't be making new stuff. So that might be the end of the extended ball joint option. Unless we can find a place that can make the bracket that would house the mono ball pin. I suppose t3 might pick up if their parts started selling, but until then I don't imagine they will.

That sucks, but is understandable. I'm curious what the sales rates of some of the other uncommon chassis they support vs ours is.

They said the ae92 is the only other chassis to do as poor in sales as ours.

Between posting on here and some fb groups that is all the advertising they had. They had not promoted it themselves.

Well there's the problem. They can't complain about low sales for a product that wasn't advertised.

They should had done orders on a preorder system anyhow to figure out what parts are more in demand. The ball joint is likely their most in demand part from us.

if the forums specific to the chassis are not enough, why bother advertising. there are 3 people who have spent some money there. all 3 of them are in this thread. all 3 of them have posted everywhere. i see no reason for them to spend anymore time making parts for the 3 of us. now if other people ordered some things....

remember, money talks. no money = no r and d = no parts being made

support the people that take the time to support us.

I came up with 2.25 degrees of max caster based off some measurements I have.

This is the link to a simple google search for ball joint extenders. I hope i'm not being redundant but they are available, seems like mostly vw's but maybe they can be adapted. Any thoughts?

Watch it! These parts are safety parts on a car. We better use a good quality ball joint extension than having the car wrecked because it failed. This happened to a guy on a race track close to me, last week, in his Volkswagen.

In my opinion we better wait to have something safe to install. If not you better run with a lower roll center that is not perfect but safe, with a stock ball joint.

There are many reported failures of those extensions on the vw forum. Partly due to the metal. I read there is an improved version with a treated metal. I think it's better to just use a whole new improved ball joint. Kluge shop might be working on one. The 6gc guys tried to get them to do a ball joint group but recently and t3 still said no.
