Modding rear struts for inserts...

I'll be doing the mod to my ST165 to install strut inserts in the rears. My question is about the threaded tube and cap. Where are people getting the steel tube to weld on the strut housing? Finding another set of front housings just for the cap and threaded tube might be a bit difficult. These older Celicas are a bit rare here in Anchorage Alaska. Maybe MR2 strut housings? Or ST182 housings?

I have read about Internet dealers making the tube to just weld right on, but I can't find anything I can just buy.

I was hoping to build a coil over set up with Ground Control coil sleeves and KYB AGX inserts. (I get a good deal on the AGX struts through a company account with TireRack.com)

All 4th/5th gen Celica fronts are the same, so if you can find one of those in a junkyard there ya go.

Alot of different toyotas from that era use the same size struts, so may want to just look for older toyotas.

I know I have seen somewhere that sold just the metal sleeves with gland nuts, but can't for the life of me find it now. I will keep looking.
