Using front strut housings on rear?

Is it possible to use the front strut housing on the rears of an alltrac? I was reading the thread here on converting the rear to insert, and just thought it would be simpler to use a front strut from another celica or another toyota? The thread said the rear struts were held in by 19mm while the front used 22mm bolts. Couldn't a washer be used to compensate? I ask cause finding spares to chop up is not easy lol.

I think the seat for the bottom of the spring is a different size as well.

Ah. Were there any other Toyota's that used the same rear strut? Maybe could pull a beat one from a junkyard for a rebuild.

According to the part number the rear was only used in the 185, I know the fronts were used in a lot of cars though.
