Sorry David, i tried to call one day and didn't get through, so i just decided to say something anyway. They worked great to go on and seem like they hold great. I'm really excited about them and i hope everyone gets their own set soon!

ST185 fronts are kind of tricky. They're so short that I can't even thread a male into a female end and get down to the right length (it's close enough for my taste, but you'd have to replace them in pairs to ensure there is no pre-load on the bar). If I did that, fronts would be about $65/pair.

ST165 - since I've never had one, I don't know what the links look like in comparison to the 185/MR2. Any chance you have one you could send me?

If someone's willing to be a guinea pig for the fronts, let me know. You'd have to replace the pair to avoid preloading the bar, but I don't see any reason why a link that's about 1/4" longer wouldn't work.

I'll have to order the male parts in to make them...would take about a week after ordering.

Is it normal that RB links are under stress in the joints when installed as they don't flex as easily as the stock joints? The mounting surfaces of the strut housing and the sway bar are not parallel, so some force needs to be applied in order to fit the links. Will urethane hold the load reliably?

Are the RB endlinks that can be used as an upgrade for the 185 be used on the 165? Would like to order a set but need to for sure.

Thanks

mafix i was thinking of doing something like that for the front... where did you get the supplies from? McMaster-Carr?

type in joints - hit arrow search
first choice in that side bar for ball joints - click on it
enjoy the searching! just about everything you can imagine.
mine have 4000lb rating and 3/8" holes, which is a touch bigger than stock IIRC.

Mercedes $32 (Non Adjustable)
? part number

I know the Mercedes ones were $32 back in '05. I've put over 30k miles on a set of them and they're doing just fine. But the ebay link is dead and I can't find the Mercedes part number for them. We need another set for a different Alltrac.

Does anyone know the Mercedes part number?

Thanks,
Andy
