i'm just curious what a safe level would be. mine is running rich but i don't want to lean it out too much. and i drive the car a lot so just a little leaner would be good. and i do plan on doing this ast a dyno i just don't want to have them do what they think is best.
12.3:1 does pretty well on 3s-gte's, it really depends on your tuning and fuel more then anything. As you probably know, it's better to be too rich then to go lean.
I should have asked which ecu. The stock ecu uses too much timing, so yes you are correct, pig rich is great. I run 12.3:1 on pump gas and have no problems at all. Of course I am running Autronic though.
With autronic you have to watch out b/c you dont have any knock sensing function.
