stock fuel pump ?

Postby 90blacktrac » Fri Sep 25, 2009 6:15 pm

So I went out and got a "Supra tt fuel pump" with the idea that it's a denso the same style and will plug right in the the stock sending unit and it will flow enough for e85. It just showed up and i was compareing it to my stock pump when I noticed the part # on top is the same now I'm a little torqued cause there are 3 stituations that could be here. A:there is a guy on ebay laughing cause he is f$%cking buyers(most likely situation) B:the 290lph version that the tt supra uses is the same as an alltrac, or C:previous owner swaped in this pump already even tho he had no mods to require it.

I supose a fourth could be it's just a p/n for the insulator on top and the lack of any other markings or visual difference is denso's idea of part interchagability.

The supra pump is denso p/n 195130-1020. The AT does not come with one.

Lots of fast, loud things.

That sucks, I have heard of a number of pumps that are not what they say they are especially walbro's. Pays to only get a genuine part from a trusted source. You only find out when your AFR's are out. I assume the supra pump is excessively expensive from toyota.

Who did you buy it from? Did it come in any Denso packaging?

It came in denso un opened packaging and as it turns out if the previously mentioned p/n is correct(simba seemed very certain and I don't know why I wouldn't believe him) the previous/previous/previous owner of the car put one in already with no mods that would require it, this would also explain the constant fouling of plugs, always running rich, and 50 some psi fuel pressure! So now I have a second used tt fuel pump and It will be up for sale unless I decide to keep it as a spare.

The pump doesn't come in any kind of "denso" packaging. It's made by Denso for Toyota. It only comes from Toyota. Anything labeled a "supra pump" which is not an OEM Toyota part, isn't.

They run around $250 and flow considerably more than the usual Walbro 255. They're also much quieter, and flow much more fuel at lower voltages.

Just adding the pump will not affect your base fuel pressure.

Lots of fast, loud things.
