i don't know if sw21 code relates to rev1 or rev2 mr2 turbo. so my guess is that you have might have an "AP engineering" AFM version. they are plug n play and available as either

revision 1 (early spec '89 - '91 ST185)
or
revision 2 (late spec August '91 - '93 JDM ST185).

my 1991 jdm st185
>>> 1991 was change over year for minor ECU revisions.

what build month and year is your car, ie what frame number ? > higher or lower than 15446, will determine which ap version you need for pnp. otherwise you might have to do some minor repinning

Air Flow Meter compatible "AP Engineering" modified versions exist for (rev1 & rev2) '89 - '93 3sgte

vs.

MAP sensor compatible revision 3 versions '94 -'99 3sgte

&

MAP sensor compatible AP Engineering modified and ST205 specific "charge cooler control" version for '94 - '99 3sgte

.... i think i may have confused the issue further.

I would appreciate if you would take a picture of the label and undo the 4 screws to pop off the cover an take some pictures of the circuit board.

Hi Ally,

re: Subject: Apexi power fc

Its been ages since i looked into the various power fc models available for the 3sgte

search.php?keywords=jetro&terms=all&author=&sc=1&sf=all&sr=posts&sk=t&sd=d&st=0&ch=300&t=0&submit=Search

i also did a quick search on my home forum: http://www.gt4oc.net/forums/search.php? ... mit=Search

basically the power fc was available as d-jetro and l-jetro versions. tbh i don't know for sure what yours is !!!!

To run 400 hp, you will need to bin the ST185 AFM anyway and use the Power FC with an external MAP sensor and Air Inlet Temp sensor.

You could try and get a FC Commander unit, but you would be much better off buying a FC-datalogit: http://www.fc-datalogit.co.nz/ for your lap top. It is far more configurable that teh in car commander.

Essentially you will be converting your ST185 to run using factory ST205 sensors or similar aftermarket ones.
Most of the info regarding rewiring and swapping pins can be found the MR2 forums. they call this the Rev1 & Rev2 conversion to Rev3

rev1 MR2 is pre August '91 = ST185 early spec
rev2 MR2 is post August '91 = ST185 late spec

rev3 MR2 = ST205

sorry to be vague, i can't be of much help as i have never done this myself, only what i have read.

If i were you i would spend somee time on mr2oc.com and imoc.co.uk, and try search for your Power FC SW21 0098 number and see if you can find out exactly if it is a Rev1, Rev2 or Rev3 model.

etc

Good luck
