question about aem ems wireing

Postby Celicatuner92 » Tue Jun 22, 2010 1:29 am

Ok so I have a quick question and I hope to get a good answer. I have an opportunity to pick up an aem ems for a good price but the unit it for a 93-95 mr2 so I was curious if it would be possible to re pin my 90 all trac ecu plugs to work with this ecu or is the plug itself different. Also what actually make the difference between the aem for the 91-92 and the 93+ is it just the settings that could possibly be re configured to work either way or is there a difference in how they make it plug and play

Hope someone can help me
Jon

The physical stock engine loom plugs are the same. The pins will be slightly different between the two cars. You should be able to repin and there will be either none or very few settings different since they are essentially identical engines USDM gen 2, as long as you do not mean a gen 3 in which case it will be very difficult.

Ok thanks that answers my question. I figured I would have to repin the plug I just didn't know if there was a physical difference in the plug.

Thanks again
