3rd gen 3sgte ECU comparison

Postby CMS-GT4 » Sat Mar 05, 2011 11:30 pm

This was an interesting test comparing a MR2 ecu against that of a st205.

There are some dyno results in the discussion.

I didn't think the two ecu's have much of a difference but I really like it that the st205 ecu has a smoother power band when boosting. I'll install my st205 ecu today after after I get off from my job in a few hours. I'm currently using the 3rd gen Mr2 ecu because I didn't want my cel light on. I have the resistors and relay needed but I was just lazy :)

Ok I swapped my ecu and I definitely feel the smoother power band :D my afr's stay in the mid to low 11"s for a little while during boosti so that makes me really happy :) my mr2 afr's ecu would go from 15 to 13's to high 10's to -10 and the st205 ecu goes from 15 to low 12's to 11's then below 10's. To me it seems like it doesn't stay super lean as long as the mr2 ecu does when I jump on boost. Now to get rid of that cel :(
