st185rc ECU?

Postby triton » Wed Sep 01, 2004 2:37 am

hey there from the mr2oc.com msg boards!

i recently purchased a 92 JDM 3sgte from a 185rc to replace my 3sgte in my 93 MR2 turbo. there was no ecu included with the motor. my question is, do you guys know if the stock ecu on a mr2 will utilize the entire motor ? as in, will i have to swap the a2w intercooler for the stocker and use the ct26 from the original motor in order to run without an CEL?

i also understand this motor supposedly has a higher fuel cut, which isnt an issue (i have an HKS FCD). are there any other differences?

use all the stock USDM electronic then.

using the w2air intercooler in an mr2, not a bad idea, but where are you gnna fit the heat exhanger? its normaly in from of the car and would be pain in the ass to pass those hoses from back to front to back.

hi...i may possibly have a 185 RC ecu and intercooler RC ecu for you. As for the w2a radiator, you could put it in the factory intercooler location.

where abouts are you?
