OK Now I'm getting confused here. I spent I dont know how long reading about fuel cut for our motors and now I am totally lost.

An FCD is used for Which of the following:

A. To be able to boost over 12-ish psi
B. To eliminate the boost limiter on 1st and 2nd gear
C. To just be able to crank up the boost w/o boost controller
D. To be able to SAFELY crank up the boost w/ boost controller
E. All of the above
F. None of the above

Without an FCD you cannot do the following:

A. Eliminate boost limit in 1st and 2nd gear
B. Crank up the boost w/ boost controller
C. Crank up the boost w/o boost controller
D. All the above
E. None of the above

Essay portion (in 200 words or less):

What the @!&# is an FCD Really for!???

Remeber your wrong answers result in my blown engine so don't guess/no theories. Thanks

So basically if I didn't intend on pushing more than 12psi of boost I don't need a stinking FCD! Right?! Just a boost controller (Elec/Man) thats set at 12psi...

By the way Chris you get a Check Plus on your assignment.
For tomorrow class, read chapters 1 and 2 in your BGB.

Yes, but sometimes, you might hit fuel cut.
Fuel cut is there to protect your engine from blowing up.
It seems to vary between 12-15 psi.
I say try it with 12 psi setting on your EBC and see if you hit the FC.

Before I installed my HKS FCD, I was experiencing fuel cut at anything over 10 psi. It usually kicked in at 11-12 psi.
