we used garage door mounting brackets on my friends mustang. worked relly nicely. you could also just get some frat irons from home depot or something and bend and drill some holes in those. does the intercooler havinf mounting brackes or tabs? that will be really the determining factor on how its mounted.

be prepared for someone to say, "duh, did you do a search?"

I would say search but I had some pics of my install. I am not sure if you are asking how to actually bolt it up or whether you are asking where can it go but since you have piping you must already know where you want to put it. These enormous pics show where I put mine.

These stainless steel brackets my neighbour was nice enough to make up for free at work for me but you get the idea.

And yes it is not connected up yet hence the selotape over the ends of the IC, still waiting on the new piping and hose. You can also weld brackets onto your intercooler if it is of quality construction.

Dang, I can't believe that actually fit in there! Well my front bumper was axed for an agressor which gave me a little more space until I changed my a/c condenser for a thicker one and with the stock condenser fan, I'm probably only able to accomodate a 2.5" FMIC at thickest.

That IC is 2.55". But believe it or not I can fit a 3" in there with the stock AC- I ripped it out anyway though. The main thing is just good mounting brakets and relocating lots of stuff.
