Well last night I managed to get four passes at the local drags strip since I had a free pass. I was not happy with my times at all I know my car is good for aleat a good full second faster.

But I suppose being my first time to the drags my time shwere probably do to my nerves of racing infront of a huge crowd.

None of my launches where good because I was not use to them doing pro style lighting on the tree, Last time I went they went one green light at a time which is what I was expecting. But enough of this now for my times. Your'll slowly see improvemnet as I learned throught out the night

tulsa is only about 600 ft here in tulsa and it was about 58 degrees So i know the car is capable of more just all in me. I hope atleast. I will work on it and get them down.

Well, thoughs times are pretty bad for an all-trac. Like they all say that every car is different. Like stock times from toyota it says 15.7 for a 1/4 mile. Even my car sucks the first time. I was assuming to get better times but i was only hitting low 16s. Most peaple there were like "what! It's turbo and it only runs those times". And yes I was the only all-trac at the trac too. Yeah, start moddifying the exhaust and intake first. You'll feel a lot of differences. Gotta show other folks what an all-trac is capable of.

It's ok dude, I was doing 16.3xx both my runs I got a couple months ago at California Speedway in Fontana which is I think 2000 ft above sea level. I had Aussie mp/catback exhaust and 12 psi of boost on stock turbo on a 100+ degree day. My 60 fts were bad though...had 2.2 and 2.3 60 fts only doing somewhere around the same speed as yours. Damn these 60 series tires that the previous owner put on. Oh well, at least I get great treadware out of these tires. :D

The MPH is what I go off of to show the power of the car, the ET is how quick he got it there. Your MPH is a lil low compared to mine considering you have a 3" exhaust and I'm about 1 MPH higher same sea level area and I am bone stock. I did a 15.58 and 85.81 MPH, I was running slower times but the MPH was consistant with 84-85 MPH running mid to high 16's, then bamm I pulled a good 2.09 60' and lowered the ET quite a bit. Don't be bummed on the car, it was just the launching.

Well, it's just like i said. Not all US st185 are the same at stock. Some are just a little faster then the other. no dout!

Interesting - The 1/8th mile times don't make a lot of sense from first to last pass though - I think the first pass should have had a higher 1/8th mile time.

regardless - Hope ya had fun, and keep workong on that launch. you should be able to get sub 2 60 foot times with a little practice.

Not bad for a first time. How was the track temp that night? My car sucked in 52* weather two weeks ago.
The only real problem i see is the times between the 60 and the 1000.
Here in denver, I am getting similar launch times and 60' as you, but my 1/8 is 7/10s of a second quicker. My 1000 is almost a full second quicker,
but your 1/4 and mph at the end are not as bad as the 1/8 and 1000 would have predicted. What kind of RPM were you shifting at, and are you running a stock turbo?

Anyhow. Keep practicing. Times are looking good.

When I took my ST185 to the track it was a new experience. I had gotten my launch down on the street, but had no luck at the track. The surface of a drag track is totally different.

I also find that with no boost controller it really slows you down even at the same boost level.

The key to better times is revving up nicely to get the turbo spinning and launch like the dickens. Also pull 1st gear as far as you can into the 7k range and that really helps you get in the right motivation for 2nd gear.
