Engine knock and blown head gasket symptoms?

Im thinking about taking my car into toyota to get the timing checked out... Just wondering but are their any dead give away's to having engine knock or a blown head gasket?

you can definitely do the timing yourself, it takes no more than 5 minutes with two people (one person turning the dizzy the other checking the timing)

for knock, you'll hear it most likely.. is your knock sensor throwing code 52 [i think]? a blown head gasket would give you tons of white smoke out of your exhaust.. also for a bhg, if you looking inside your radiator, if its foamy, it either has rabies or a bhg.

ok Im pretty sure I can throw bhg out, still not sure about the knock though...I still havent done any error tests on my car..

CEL 52 is a very sure sign youre knocking, your knock sensor is bad, the wire to the knock sensor is bad, or your ECU is bad.

is there a CEL when youre driving?
