mr2 tranny question!? figured it out

well i was gettin no help from celicatech...
maybe i can get more from here


well i have found a 95 mr2 trans
rebuilt w 500 miles on it!!!!!
w lsd..

my question....
how can u tell if it is in fact lsd?
is there a serial # i should look for..
i know on sum trans w lsd u can see straight through
the trans...

i dnt wanna get jipped!

y is it that i need to use alltrac outers?
are the GT to weak...?

i will be putting this on my 90 GT

or can u put me in the right direction
for a list of things needed

Pull out the axle, look inside the shaft, and you'll see a bar in the middle if it has a factory equipped LSD.

It was not on ALL 93+ E153 transmissions, but it was an option beginning in '93.
 
the only way that you could tell, is if it has a bar inside the axle shaft. Being that, this is an mr2 turbo transmission, the bar would indicate lsd.

You have to use alltrac outter axles because the end of the outter axle connects to the inner axle with 6 bolts. GT axles on the other hand are two piece axles with the outter axle floating inside the inner axle with bearings. The other end that connects to the hub are made with the same amount of teeths to fit the GT hubs.
 
off topic, did you ever get your fuel pump issue resolved? i read it over in celicatech a while back. if you haven't, it must be that your circuit opening relay is not turnning on.

its funny when friends try to start my car
then die bc its not on them the worried look thinkin that
they broke it lookin all worried
