If that's stock, with only increased boost & AEM, then that's pretty damn impressive, especially on a 105* FL day.

Here's mine from a few years back:

nice numbers using the stock turbo! pretty much exactly what I want to do with my car. what exactly does the AFM mod consist of?

I did have a 3" exhaust, stock intake w/ paper filter though (still had afm in as I was lazy and didn't take it out, even though was speed density)

I have a hard time beleiving your 29x ftlbs at 11 psi.

@turbo4wd.

There is something strange in your graph. You seem to lose HP and torque after 4000RPM.

If you look at other dyno's most of the peakHP is around 5500 rpm.
If I look at your A/F, that is very nice curve for even a tuned engine. A/F ~11.5 under boost.

Not really, my graph is similar to yours except the power came on about 1000rpm sooner. Your graph shows the same decline in torque while maintaining the same steady hp reading. The main reason for this is the stock turbo since it is a bottleneck. If you look at MrDB's graph he's running a different turbo but seems to be a similar setup to mine, and his curves are different as his hp output keeps going up and doesnt taper down until the very end.

As for the A/F, the AFM was opened and the wheel was moved, unfortunately I wasn't the one who did it, so I don't know how many clicks were put on it from stock - the guys at the shop were very concerned with how lean it was during the first 1000rpm of the pull.. this lean condition occurred on the 4 pulls we did. We ended up adjusting and closing down the AFM bypass screw to help richen it up.

As for it being set at 11psi, shortly after this I installed the AEM, and the MAP sensor verified the reading on my boost gauge.. I haven't messed with it since so

This engine has since come out of the car and been rebuilt with forgies, but I haven't put it in yet.. I put in another stock JDM engine with a different fuel setup - but still running a stock turbo and the same AFM. Although driving around recently - the car actually feels slower than it did before so I dunno.. I can't say for sure until I get a chance to dyno it again. I'm hoping to do it again in the next few months..

But before that, I've got a few more things to buy first

Thanks, here's a good article regarding the AFM mod - its talking about another Toyota engine, but the procedures / concepts are the same. You start with removing the black plastic cover on your AFM to access the gearing.. but as mentioned before here on this forum and in this article - proceed at your own risk.. It's best to do this with a wideband to monitor but even so..

Peak HP: 187.1 whp @ 5850 rpm
Peak Torque: 195.8 ft lb @ 4200 rpm
Type of Dyno: FWD
Brand of Dyno: Dyno Dynamics
Engine Displacement: Stock
Engine Compression: Stock
Camshafts: Stock
Turbo: JDM CT26
Turbo Pressure: 12 PSI
Fuel: Stock fuel setup
Fuel Type: 94 Octane Pump Fuel
Engine Managment: Stock ECU
Other Info: 89,000 kms on the car - HKS Silent Hipower 3" cat back - rest of exhaust is stock, ST205 W2A IC with Fluidyne 05 Mustang Cobra H/E, ATS Throttle Body Inlet, TurboSmart Manual Boost Controller @ 12PSI, HKS FCD, Greddy Type-S BOV, airbox delete - K&N cone filter, MSD Blaster SS coil.

1 Huge Dyno fan, warm day. 2nd, 3rd and 4th gear. run was started in 2nd due to being in FWD mode where using 1st and 5th isn't advisable. My car shifts really bad due to either my throttle body or cable being sticky or too much boost blowing out my my BOV and the AFM/ECU not liking it, so you can see that zig-zag every time the car shifts as well.

This was my car's first Dyno run and was intended as a baseline before I start putting in my fuel system, turbo, exhaust, cams, etc.

Thanks a lot to Chris, Dustin and Bill at Zensport for dynoing me for only $40, and for being awesome in general.

Nice power! :)

What specs were you running for that, namely the turbo? That is about the range of power I plan to make.

Cheers,

Timmey
