According to the BGB, you can reuse them.. They're not listed as parts that absolutely need to be replaced like the gaskets are..

Then again, do rodbolts and main bolts cost so much brand new?

Rod bolts I would reuse. Main bolts I would scrap and just pay the 115 for ARP. Small price to pay for piece of mind.

you guys are brave. i would replace them all. toyota's are famous for spinning bearings. bearings spin because of three things really, heat, oil and expansion. get the ARP studs.

I think you might be thinking of ARP head studs, am I correct? They are talking about rod bolts, and main cap bolts. If you are just reassembling the motor with no machining or replacing you could reuse them.

Bearings usually fail due to dirt or metal in the oil, and if they spin it's because it wasn't installed or lubed properly.

You should be okay just putting them back in.

It doesn't matter noww, ive ordered the arp gear... its one of those 'just in case' type of things. And cheap insurance when you look at it.
