BRD st185 hoping for 400bhp now mapped at 397bhp 370ft/lbs

a bit about me and my car, i have a st185 JDM 1992 J, im am rebuilding the engine as we speak as it went pop on me last year :( i was runing 286bhp and 315ft/lbs of torque :D witch is pritty good for a few mods,

hi every 1, well im hopeing to get mt st185 to 400bhp+ if i can, its away having a fully forged rebuild and with the list of parts that i will be fitting it shoud make the 400bhp+ here is a list of what i will be having fitted

CYLINDER HEAD SKIMMED, VALVES RE-LAPPED, NEW VALVE STEM SEALS

so pritty happy with at for now, next job is to save and get me nice big turbo and injectors to go with it, then 380-400bhp here we come :)

full forged engine , 540cc injectors ct20b JUN264cams but not set up yet, full 3" exhaust and decat, HKS airfilter and with no air flow meter now, and was runing just over 1.1bar, the full spec if the engine is on the first page of the build

just finished making and fitting my cold air feed box, here as sum pics

first I made a cardboard template of the cold air box

then after I had coverer it on fibreglass resin I then raped it in heat reflective shield

not shore weather to fit a lid on it as it is a good fit to the liner under the bonnet which is acting like a lid plus I and benefiting from the vent on the top.

what do you think?

Holy crap that is a long post.. but so much eye candy! Great looking build; I love the rally lights and oil filter relocation job. Also neat paint on the rear half there... haven't seen that before.

Pretty dang 8) 8) man!

just a bit of an update, I went back to Weston performance today to get the map looked at and they found it to be over fuelling lots :( but the good news is that they have now remapped it and it is pushing 353bhp and 300ft/lbs of torque at the fly wheel :twisted: :twisted: and all this power gains is from having an alternator that works :)

Awesome job man.

How much faster does the car feel over stock? My HP goal is right where your sitting so I'm just wondering how it feels. Easy to drive around on the street?

that car is runing at 1.2bar as for the AFR thay are pritty much the same as the last mapping :D and im still runing the standerd ct20 turbo

i just all wasy sem to have a good mapper so i gess it was down to the maping and probly quit a bit of addvanced timing but i have to say it was no were neer as quick and as power full as what it is now :evil:

ment to change that im runing with a new 185 pump, but from what i have read its a higher capacity pump, but it is a bot of a ball ake to fit as you need the 205 sum and need to mod it to get it all to fit :doh:

nice numbers. doing good on the ct series turbo.
remember guys this is BHP not WHP. WHP should be between 10 and 15% lower, depending.
now go out and get a bigger turbo and sell that little guy.
