Hey I live in New Zealand andI recently bought a St165 and am trying to find out some information about LSDs. Are there front, centre, rear Lsds available for my car? Do St185s or St205s have Lsds available and do they bolt in?

Swaybars need to be upgraded but no one seems to stock them anymore. Any tips on sizes to make the beast turn in a bit better. Front? Rear?

I have had the car about a month, first weekend went into a Grass khana, That week bought and installed a full set of Tein adjustables. (Supposed to fit a St185 but with a little bit of thinking and top hat spacers, no problems). That weekend went and did a track day and pretty promptly ran out of brakes! So this week upgraded the pads to mintex 1166s much better now.

Ultimately would like to put a full St205 driveline under it. Any tips and suggestions would be appreciated. Most bang for buck etc. Avoid this and that. As Nz is a bit of a dumping ground for JDM cars a lot of good stuff does turn up here so compatibility hints are good as well.

Oh and since I live in NZ it's no use recommending so and so's shop but if you can recommend a (Hopefully global),brand then I can go hunting!

Thanks

# TRD front LSD (for ST185) is discontinued: http://www.greenline.jp/catalogue/fulli ... %20(3S-GTE :(

# stock centre diff is LSD by means of viscous coupling:

# Rear TorSen LSD can be retro fitted from a ST185 RC / Group A Rallye / Carlos Sainz and was optional on some other ST185

Rear TorSen LSD can be retro fitted from a ST205

Rear plate / clutch type LSD is also manufactured by Cusco

& TRD

Thanks for that. My car has the switchable centre diff. Locked or unlocked. I haven't seen anything about them other than they were only on the early JDM St165. Is it only good for low traction situations such as snow, gravel etc? At what speed can it be activated? Is it only when stopped or can it be operated whilst moving? Usually on four wheel drive vehicles there are multiple warning labels if it's a problem. Nothing on my car.
