In terms of release bearing, clutch, pressure plate and flywheel for an ST185 running an E154F gearbox from the ST205WRC given the below....

Street driven (sometimes VERY spirited on twisty tarmac roads).
No drag racing, but occasional hard launches.
Desire no or very little clutch rattle.
Desire reasonable (near stock) clutch pedal pressure.
Forged stroker on GT30 turbo with water injection, 264 cams and autronic.
Pump fuel mainly, but with occasional use with VP 109 fuel and suitable map.
Desire quality parts that will last - as we all know, changing a clutch on an ST185 is a bitch of a job :)

Let's hear your comments and feedback gents !

Ok, so that's one opinion on clutches... anyone got any strong feelings about flywheels ???

If you care to, please PM me a good source for the OS Giken clutches.

So what clutch do I use that meets all the criteria in the original post ?
Had a OS GIKEN twin plate but did not like the chatter at all. Once the throw out bearing gave me issues I went with a Comp 6 puck "strip" clutch. Peddle isn't to harsh. engagement is very streetable. Best part is NO chattter. :D

I think the only clutch that meets your criteria is the Tilton carbon or maybe the carbonetics but there again they are multi-plate and may still rattle. I think abraxxa on here has the carbonetics in his 205. You could ask him. Also Pat has the Tilton. Best part about the Tilton is rebuilds are cheap!

If you want silent 2 disc clutch, with soft as stock feel and usage, buy Helix 200mm twin clutch.

No match, nor Tilton or Carbonetic.

I use carbonetic 2 plate, it is noisy.

Helix is silent, will transfer 600-700Nm easily, cheap to rebuild.
