Reason for the starter mod?

So, I have a harness I am about to install in my trac and I removed the starter mod on it. My question is, which wires on the harness cause the need to make this mod? I would like to replace the wires so I wont have to worry about this issue.

Its the wire going to the solenoid of the starter. What happens is over time the insulation cracks and the wire corrodes causing a huge drop in amps.

Thanks. Unwrapped the harness and removed the old wire. Have a nice and pretty one in it's place now.
