First even of the season was 4/15/12. Can is bone stock, which placed me in the GS class. My best time was a 40.1. The fastest car of the day ran a 35.5 in the SM class.

We had rain all morning for the first runs, the the after hit 80 degrees and dried everything up for us. Here are some pics and a vid of my 40.3 run. Could have been much faster if I wasn't pushing so hard and if I actually had some decent tires.

All in all, I think she the car did great for being completely stock!

Not sure why my pictures are being cut off?!

It was an absolute blast. Next event is only a few weeks away.

I think the fastest time in my class was around a 38.7 or so. Guy was running a brand new, completely stock turbo Mini Cooper. Those things are very nimble.

Honestly think I could have done a mid to low 39 if I wasn't pushing so hard during the dry afternoon runs. Oh well, you live and you learn.

Car is doing great. of course there are some small issues, but what 21+ year old car doesn't?

Cannot wait for the next event!

What happened to it?

EDIT: NM, just looked at the old for sale sign. Things like this is why I will never sell another car out of need. At worse I will just pay for a storage unit. I regretted letting 2 cars go before.....it wont happen again.

There's always that one that got away. This car was it for me.

Looking back I wish I would have kept it. But with no where to store it and needing a DD, I was backed into a corner. The head gasket was not a huge issue, but the rust was killing the unibody, causing all kinds of other problems.

Someday, Ill have another.
