I did base gold from a company called stove bright its their copper color. Then i used honda inca pearl it was a little darker and had more flake in it. I got my inca pearl from expresspaints.com the will mix any paint code you want and i got it formulated for wheel paint to be a bit more durable. It holds up to the heat as well, I baked on the high heat clear at 500 degrees.
how do you go around baking this? how about the rubber seal by the piston/cylinder that pushes the brake??i just finally picked up some calipers for your brackets, in need of help on how to get this painted and slap them on my car

yes I know that, it just wasnt in the instructions I have so I'm wondering what kind of loctite or sealant I should use on the parts, it looks like there was some on there originally?

Its a flare fitting, don't know i would use lock tight.mainly cause it would be a Bitch once dried.
If there was some, it possibly was not lock tight

If they leak, the flared end is messed up.

Re: Porsche Brembo Calipers and STi Rotors
Are these the same brembo calipers that are on a 06' subaru sti? The reason I ask is I have a full set in my shop with calipers and rotors. Thanks

Re: Porsche Brembo Calipers and STi Rotors
those gold calipers pictured are the sti brembos, I repainted them and put them on my 98 forester. The calipers that fit the brackets are porsche 911/boxter calipers

Re: Porsche Brembo Calipers and STi Rotors
Why the Porsche calipers instead of the ST205 ones?
They look smaller.

The calipers might have different mounting, not too sure but most likely. You could possibly modify the bracket to use the STi calipers. Also you'll have to redrill your rotors.

No. The Porsche calipers are radial mount, which is why they work so well for 'aftermarket' use. The Subaru Brembos have custom mounting ears that are meant for Subaru only.
The Porsche calipers are smaller - and that's the point. They have similar (if not better!) braking performance and a smaller body to fit under wheels. At the same time, because they are radial mount, you can fit them to the car more easily once you have the correct bracket.alltracman78 wrote:Why the Porsche calipers instead of the ST205 ones?
