Okay, so I'm man enough to admit it was my own dumbass fault with my Alltrac - cracked block due to freezing. I'm over that humiliation (almost). Now, NOW I'm faced with a similar realization on the Gen3 block in my MR2. I was having overheating issues due to air entering the coolant system. After pulling the head this weekend, concluded there's a nice 3" vertical rip through the number 2 cylinder wall. What the hell!? The car is well tuned, moderately boosted....ugh.
At any rate, my 93 is my baby - always has been. You can be sure I'll be fixing her up good as new (better even). I had considered selling off the 88, but I don't think I could ever come across a car like that again. So, the Alltracs are staying, the MR2 has to go. I'll be restoring it back to stock and selling it as well as all the Gen3 stuff (and the KO Streetbrawler turbo, AEM EMS, FJO controller, wheels, etc, etc). It's one thing to maintain vehicles that are essentially stock (i.e. the Alltracs) it's another to maintain something that's tweaked beyond what it was originally intended. Shit breaks and I don't have the time for it anymore. I love my MR2, but I'll always be an Alltrac guy at heart.
Now, on to bigger and better things. Bye MR2, hellllooooooo ISF.... 8)
