Yes, they are LS1 coils from Haltech:

I'll mount the bracket on top of the tranny-mount.
If my quick measurement without removing the TMIC is correct the longest cable should be about 70cm.

I would ljust like to know one thing.

Why the hell are u using these coils, instead of VW COP that fits perfectly into the head and cost nothing?

You loose a shitload of cables, have much better spark....

My tuner also suggested VW coils but also told me that he had some failures with them because of high temperatures.

In the 3sx world we would use motorcycle COPs. They sit low, work great and are cheap. :D

I never had a failure with my COP's. Cheap, reliable and easy to get. Internal triggers, no spark cables....and these fit perfectly to 3Sgte valve cover. What more can you want?

The problem with motorcycle COP's is that these need power ignitior, and VW do not. It is in the coil itself.

Very interesting. I will toss this info over to the 3sx guys. 8)

I did some 600hp 3sx mitsubishi's and always used stock ignition. Worked like a charm.

Mine was in that hp range and used the stock ignition as well. Some wanted more hp or just the fact that the cop is hidden which is the reason I wanted it. :p
