Hi.

What`s your experience with dynoing in fwd mode? how much will it handle before it blows up? ( got a friend who have a 2wd dyno i can use, so thinking about dynoing my car in low boost. guessing it will be at about 450hp in low boost)

I heard there is an unsafe RPM to take the revs up to in FWD mode. Can't seem to find to find the thread, or I'd post that. Anyone else know what I'm referring to?

My car has been dyno'd in FWD though, no ill effects. Only 200hp though, and no crazy RPM numbers.

What do you mean no crazy rpms? So 4k? I'd be down to have this tested for one pull to give me an idea at like 6psi.

I don't have the RPMs I was at when I got 200hp, but since a recent upgrade to around 320hp, my trans blew up in FWD. I wasn't there and didn't see the RPMs it was at :(. The current theory is things blew up at the FWD/AWD converter-portion of the trans. I'll be moving up to an ST205, which is stronger but no FWD.

So, the lesson is: there is a risk that is hard to quantify :(.
