Steering wheel spins freely!

When I look from the top near the firewall I can see where it's broken...

On this diagram, is this that part? Is there a good way to get to it, or should a newbie get it to a shop for this repair? Thanks!

Edit: had a diagram pointing to the wrong part :/

actually not that hard, just time consuming, at least four hours of work. i have an entire steering assembly for a st165 available you didnt say what model and year it is.

Didn't take hours, maybe an hour. Remove the bolts completely, soak in wd40 or the same lube, push up, pull down you're out. Remembering the orientation the coupler was. Install in reverse.

Got it out, but the shaft above it is loose and wiggly.... guess its further up than that u joint! How the heck do you GET to that? Can't seem to find all the bolts holding the steering column boot on..
