Cheaper Alternative Braided Steel ST165 Clutch Line?

Seems the going rate for a ST165 transmission braided steel clutch line is about $60, example here.

By comparison, my WRX line was just $25. The Celica one looks no longer or more complicated than that or any other line I've seen.

Is there another (and cheaper!) make/model's line that will fit the connectors? I feel like getting a custom line made might even be cheaper

I assume you could build one yourself like one would for brake lines.

That's what I was thinking. I'll have to see what they go for in one-off, and maybe see if folks here wana do a group buy. I'll get back here with the estimates when I get them.

Anyone know off hand the connector styles?

Why waste $25 on it?
Just use the stock one.

It made a difference in my WRX - bit apples to oranges, but idea remains the same. And there are worse ways to spend $25 after all.

Why waste $100 on stainless brake lines? Oh, wait...

It does help if you have a heavy duty pressure plate.

Exactly. This is part of my Camry build, which will get some heavier built internals as time goes on, so this is just part of that upgrade path.
