Question about towing?

Story is a couple of friends and I went up to the mountain nearby, friends s2000 diff took a beating and gave out after doing donuts, so I towed him to his house about 65 mile away. My question is doing that is there any dangers to the drivetrain?

Manual transmission I say no, it is fine. Automatic transmission will get hot and burn it up. Always a safe bet to take the driveshaft out. What happened to the rear diff? LSD go out? Thought they should still move.

Sorry I meant mine, his rolls fine, they think either the pinion gear or stripped the spindles.

Nothing wrong with towing, just make sure your oil is fresh, coolant is topped up and give it time to idle and cool down after.
Keep your eye on the engine temperature gauge while towing too.

My car had no problem towing, it ran a little cooler than usual to my surprise.
