Fuel Cut problems st165

So I'm having fuel cut issues with my st165 gen 1 3sgte, just installed a fuel cut defender, before i was hitting fuel cut at around 10.8lbs so now it should be around 16lbs and I am able to get 12lbs safely until I get into higher rpms, when I get to around 5-6k rpms I hit fuel cut even though by then it is running 12lbs steadily... any ideas?

welcome to the fun of a 165. some of the computers (not all and i don't know the difference) have 3 modes of fuel cut. one is boost pressure. one is "safe" mode. the final uses the AFM signal. all 3 of my computers did that (2 usdm, 1 jdm). that's the best i ever figured out before just saying f- it all and buying my first stand alone unit. which i've since replaced with a unit that has support on this side of the country.

haha thank you, unfortunately it overheated last night and the radiator blew so this is now the least of my worries... I think I'm going to just keep it at a safe amount of boost once I get it fixed.
