M MixMaster New member Oct 21, 2014 #2 For future reference if anyone else searches this topic. The caldina alternator has the plug on the side and is bigger. May have hood closure issues on an st185. I'm not trying it.

C CTechBlueDragon Member Oct 30, 2014 #3 Yeah the wiring location is not ideal for our cars. I have a GT with a 215 engine and the wiring to the alt rubs the hood insulation.
