Chronic cam seal leak?

Over the course of the past nine months I've had my motor apart several times. Each time I've replaced the can seals. I've tried the seals with the metal ring on it and I've tried the all rubber felpro seals etc. Is there a trick to them or do I need to buy different seals? Thanks in advance.

I replaced mine while I had my engine out to do a clutch replacement and replace them with these: http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/d...ck=Search_02344_1274194_-1&pt=02344&ppt=C0026

I recall them distorting slightly while pressing them in place but I figured it would be ok, , I was wrong and had to replace them again but with the engine installed on the second round :shoots:

The replacement seals I used on the second attempt were the rubber type and haven't had a leak since.

I went with OEM seals and never had an issue.

Make sure you can coating them with oil before pressing them in.
