Its a good thing you wont be installing it any time soon... it'll give you time to sell it and get something decent.
I don't know why people persist in buying Japanese made tuner ECUs like this.
Even back in their day they were average. Today they are old tech and perform no where near as well as even the most basic modern ECUs.
Go get something like a Megasquirt2 Plug n Play ECU.
It'll be far easier to tune, more capable, be more reliable, you'll get far better product support, end up with more power, better driveability, etc, etc, etc.

Re: My 1990 Celica GT Four (RC Conversion)
A great car.
I noted in your list of mods under Suspension you have fitted ST205 brake callipers and Lexus IS300 discs.
I am interested in doing this conversion also, but I have a couple of question, I would appreciate it if you could help here please in regards to the Lexus IS 300 disc.
1. the height of the ST205 Disc is 59mm and the IS300 is 51mm. Therefore their is a difference of 8mm. Did you pack the calliper out the
8mm or make up an adaptor plate?
2. The centre hole of the ST205 disc is 55mm and the IS300 is 62mm. Therefore there is a difference of 7mm. Did you use a centric ring or did you not bother with it.
3. Re-drilling the IS300 wheel stud holes to cater for 5x100 stud pattern I think would not be a problem. I would probably get a machine shop to do that for me.
Moving the disc out 8mm is a great idea as it will help clearance with the bottom ball joint (without changing the front track).
I looked up DBA Brakes listing for the disc to fit the IS300 and they list it as #748 and when I looked at the list I noted that Soarer/Lexus SC300 SC400 1991 Supra MK IV 5/93 to 1995 are also fitted with this disc.

I did the same front brake set up as Redswan, I'll PM you so I don't clutter his thread with what I did.

Re: My 1990 Celica GT Four (RC Conversion)
OS Giken STR twin plate installed.
So,
i'm still 6,000 miles away from my car and the things I love. My friend finally finished up putting in the OS Giken STR clutch in the Celica. It was a little difficult from his explanation. He had trouble getting the clutch disc staying in place with the plastic alignment tool and it always seemed a hair off when he got the tranny lined up. He went around in circles with this for a while.
We worked together to come up with a solution and we decided to bolt the tranny on finger tight and slightly use the clutch pedal to assist in aligning the plates with the splines together (if that makes sense). Then he tightened down the tranny and used the pedal to loosen tension on the plates and it went right in.
Not that many will attempt this, but I wanted to share incase anyone finds themselves in the same situation.
So feedback on driving it from my friend. The pedal is very soft and easy to engage. it feels like the engagement is on/off. There is some pretty good chatter from the clutch, but that is to be expected. Overall I am really excited the clutch. i can't wait to get home and drive it.

Re: My 1990 Celica GT Four (RC Conversion)
First project for it when I get home installation of this TD06 kit.
I picked up a ST205 WRC/"anti-lag" manifold online today. I have been looking at it and I wonder if I could make the anti-lag function on it. I have a few spare turbos laying around.
It might be time for an experiment.

Josh,
I head back in the next 4-6 weeks maybe. I am still moving to the Kansas City area. Maybe we can meet up there once I get settled.

Yeah, we might be able to organize a mini meet somewhere. I think Mark is from that area and there might be another at member there already. Its about 4hr from here. So there might be a decent middle ground to meet.
