They can be found on a lot of pre-mid-90s Toyotas. There's not much too them - as long as it threads in it should work fine regardless of what model it came out of. It opens up when the engine reaches operating temperature and air should pass between the two ports. When cold, it should be sealed off, and air should not easily pass between the two ports.
