HI thought i'd share my latest install.

I'm driving a st185 Grp A.

I've just got a Front mount intercooler installed.

Used the intercooler off the Evo 8. the core looks like it belongs there :)

Anywaz, long story short. it was a total b**ch to install.
clocking the turbo -- new slim radiator fans-- moving the oil cooler--
moving the air-con lines.
Lotsa cash blown.

Ok now for the verdict..--- I'm quite dissapointed really.
rather laggy and the boost takes quite long
to build up.

BUtt dyno says the car has gained some hp (not much)but definately not as responsive as before. definately less fun for auto-crossing.
even normal street driving isn't as fun as before

I'm still using a stock ct26.running at 1 bar.

I guess it should improve once i upgrade my turbo.

In conlusion, i much prefer my original w2A setup. but with all the fabrication and money gone into the Front- mount, i'm kinda stuck with it.

Hope this enlightens somebody :)

Cheers

I dunno - I haven't noticed much difference in spool time on mine. Maybe a little bit laggier but not too much.

Also, the Evo 8 core is... I don't want to say kinda big, but it's a nice size. You'd have to get just the right sized piping in order for it to work properly.

Its the 2.5" pipe that killing ya.....

And do you think you could get some closeups of the wastegate actuator and coolant line brackets? This is where most people get stuck and it would help out a ton.

yeah 2.5 is pretty big for the little ct26

once you upgrade to something bigger youll have lots of fun :)
