What to replace this line with?

Postby celigts » Sun Apr 08, 2012 11:47 pm

I'm wondering what to change my turbo return line from the oil pan to the hard line with. Also what type of clamps would you suggest to use that are better than stock.

just go with stock on both. You could cover the hose with a piece of heat resistant insulator. you can pcik that up at any hydraulic shop.

Can't you just get the return line in AN-10 with the correct fittings from ATS? I got mine from them for my 20g to eliminate that factory junk so I'm sure they have the fittings for the CT.

That hose is toyota only. Dealership is the only place you're gonna find it. You could try toyotapartszone.com as well. It's gonna be pricey no matter what. I tried using different hose when mine began to crack and spray oil on the under side of the bay, but my instinct told me not to skimp out on this hose as it can spell the end of your motor if something happens to it. You'll lose all you oil in seconds is this hose breaks.

I'm not sure that will work with a stock CT.

I'm sure you might be able to find it somewhere else but hydraulic shops keep readily available as they deal companies buying lines all the time. it shouldn't more than a couple of dollars for a foot it. you only need maybe 6 inches of it.

Get something like this for the turbo side. For the block and oil pan fittings, kris at koracing has them. Then just run lines.

Interesting kit. Wish I had found it when I changed the turbo a few years back.

So a kit like this will allow me to replace all the turbo oil lines with more conventional ones? Does this kit have everything I need? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Turbo-Oil-Feed- ... 41639654fc

So if I was to purchase this kit it would replace the current steel hard line right?

Cuz the hose that broke is just off the oil pan. Super easy to access and to change. If you guys say this will change the setup from the hard line to flexible line. Get to me and I'll definitely be buying this then.

Way cheaper then the oem hose

Main concern is will it replace the oil pan fitting and the other line will be getting replace to then I think the one to the block?

Does another other than KO Racing or Berk make the block and pan fittings? Shipping to Canada nearly doubles the cost from either of them.

I'd like to know as well cuz this kit would replace 3/4 of what we would need right? And the rest would be from KOracing or berk?

well i looked at the ko racing site and saw that each fitting needed to replace the turbo oil lines for the AN lines arent to bad i dont think.

so my question would be is anyone else interested in buying the kit and fittings? maybe if we got a big enough group it could go for a little cheaper.
