Gt-4Racing replica RC crash bar.

Postby msanders2 » Thu Apr 12, 2018 12:20 am

I ordered a replica RC crash bar from Gt-4racing.eu and thought I would make a thread about it. I’ve been looking for a real oem one for a long time (years) and haven’t been able to get my hands on one. I was in contact with the guy from XII motorsports about starting a group buy on some replicas, however he was a difficult to deal with (personal opinion) I ordered this through a ebay listing for $258 after shipping. He actually sells the bars on his website shipped to the US for a little cheaper (around $220 I think) oh well. I ordered on March 9th and received April 9th. The owner of Gt4racing shipped immediately from Poland, the long wait was customs in NY. After receiving the bar it appears to be built well. The welds are sufficient, and it looks like an exact copy (to my knowledge) i haven’t installed it on the car yet, but I hope to do so soon. It also comes powdercoated black which I think is a huge plus. Anyways here are some pics. I’ll take some more once I get it installed and check the figment. I would defiantly recommend the to anyone looking for a crash bar and can’t find the genuine one!

Looks really nice! Paul from GT4 Racing is easy to deal with. I've ordered from him before, no issues. Glad to see him producing more parts for our cars. I just wish he'd ship body pieces. (hood, fenders etc). Update us with installation pics.

I've never really thought about it because I fabbed up my own bumper support using the stock Alltrac bumper - but how does this GT4 crash bar mount up to the body?

With two long bolts through the ends of the frame rails, the same as the standard beam.

Absolutely, got it tucked safe and sound in the back of the shop where no one will mess with it. Going to start on it soon.

No rush, as I know you guys are busy. Early to mid summer would be fine with me. I never rush good work. I was at the shop not too long ago with Karl (GT4Dred). Hung out for a bit. I have another project to discuss with you guys for late summer/early fall. Yes, another Alltrac.

Yeah I realized after I ordered it he sells them cheaper on his website. However I’m not upset I paid more, I’m just glad to finally have one. I didn’t want to mount my RC bumper without it.
